The Black Cherry Soda is a product from Conner Bottling Works
from Newfields New Hampshire, USA. The soda is bottled a 12 fl. OZ. (355 ml) bottle, The color of the soda in the bottle is not as dark as you might think for a black cherry soda. This bottle is slightly less filled as the other bottles as you can see on the picture, I don't know if this was the case when I bought it or that somehow something leaked from the bottle during my flight back from the U.S.A. to the Netherlands. The label and logo indeed have an old-fashioned look. I guess the brand name Squamscot is a Native American name. More information on the company and different flavors can be found on their website www.nhsoda.com I have tried the Squamscot Black Cherry Soda chilled with and without ice, I thought the smell was very artificial like all cherry flavored candies. The taste was also just the same as many other cherry candies, not too bad but not my favorite kind of flavor. Carbonation is medium, to my taste it might be a bit heavier. I preferred the Black Cherry Soda with the ice. All in all not a bad soda but I have had better ones. |
